Vega's new Trak and Trak Jr. full face Karting helmets are Snell K2010 certified and are made from a Fiberglass/Kevlar composite shell. The optically correct lock-down shield meets karting requirements and comes in four colors: Clear, Smoke, Amber and Mirror on Smoke, for that custom look. The flo-thru mouth, front and rear exhaust vents with the help of the Wick-Dri comfort fit liner will keep you cool in even the hottest weather. The Wick-Dri liner is removable, washable and is interchangeable between shell sizes for that perfect fit. The Trak is available in two solid colors and three different colors of a new universe graphic. Review : Not bad for a budget karting helmet
Needed a karting helmet that wouldn't break the bank but would keep my melon more or less safe when I was out on the track practicing with my son and this fits the bill. It's pretty basic, and a friend that rides motorcycles saw it and couldn't believe it costs as much as it does.. But for a Snell-rated karting helmet it's pretty cheap! I originally ordered a Large because that's what Vega's chart said I needed (I quadruple checked the measurement) but it was almost impossible to get on and very tight. I sent it back and got an XL which is a lot better fit... So if you think you're an XL but Vega says L, you're probably better off with the XL. On the back of the helmet where part of the padding tucks in, it keeps coming out every time I take the helmet off - looks like it may not have gotten enough glue on it at the factory. It isn't a huge deal, but it's just sort of an annoying thing when you have a brand new helmet that doesn't quite stay together the way it should.
