These "bolt on" bags include no bolts or hardware, and no specific way to attach. The back is flat and stiff, as it should be, to receive a mounting method that one has to devise .... you need to customize them for your bike.
So, by "bolt-on," they mean that these are not "throw-over" bags (which I did not want). They just really should say so in the listing, and provide photos.
That said, these are thick, high-quality leather, very well-made ... in the USA. Let me repeat: Made in the USA.
I bought a pair of Saddlemen bags that I immediately returned. These are so far superior they're not even in the same universe.
If there had been more clarity, they'd have gotten five stars.
